Your Home. Your Heart. One of a Kind.
There are a few things that get passed down without question — a recipe, a quilt, a name. A portrait of the place where your family's story happened belongs on that list.
This is a fully custom home portrait created in my modern watercolor style: rich, saturated color with the warmth and texture of hand-painted work. Each piece begins as a digital watercolor illustration, is printed on archival paper, and then finished by hand with graphite pencil detail and original brushwork. The result is modern watercolor: deeper in tone, richer in detail, and more alive than either medium could produce on its own.
Whether it's the house you raised your children in, the cottage that holds thirty summers of memories, or the first home you ever called your own — I'll capture it the way you actually remember it. We can add the cat in the window, the garden you tended, the flag on the porch, your family name along the border. The details that make it yours.
The process:
- Choose your size and framing option at checkout.
- I'll send you a short questionnaire, a project checklist, and a request for photos.
- Share one or more clear photos of your home along with the address — I sometimes use Google Maps to catch the details photos miss.
- I'll create an initial sketch for your approval before color or paint is ever applied.
A few good things to know:
- Custom portraits are completed in 3–4 weeks. If you're working toward a deadline, email me and I'll check my schedule.
- Text and borders are included at no extra charge — family name, address, "Our First Home," whatever feels right.
- Framing is available; see the options at checkout.
- Sizes: 8×10 and 11×14 listed below. Need something larger? Email me for a custom quote.
This is the kind of gift people don't return. They frame it, they move it from house to house, and someday they hand it to someone they love.
